I studied sculpture at North Staffordshire Polytechnic, graduating in 1986 with 1st class honours. In 1989 I completed a PGCE at Bretton Hall, Wakefield and then taught art in Hampshire and Surrey until moving to Stroud in 1998.

Since then I have focussed on the development of my work, aided by the creative environment of shared studio space. Alongside making and exhibiting my work I have continued to be involved in education undertaking numerous projects and, more recently, commissions for schools and in the community.
